Traditional evacuation and nurse call systems rely on manual management and maintenance. Often you don’t know if devices have lost power or connectivity until you go to use one. From a safety perspective, this mix of assumption and chance is dangerous, particularly in a life or death situation.

Taking advantage of the powerful computer in your pocket, system managers can login to the app to manage events or manage the system.

Event Management:

• Receive evacuation alerts or nurse call alerts with clear event details: what is the emergency, where is the emergency, who triggered the emergency
• Respond to evacuation alerts by acknowledging the event and ending it when safe
• Respond to nurse call alerts by accepting or declining to attend to the location
• See a log of other users who have been notified
• Trigger an evacuation or nurse call event
• Trigger a lockdown

System Management:

• View individual unit power and connectivity status in real time
• Easily reposition and rename a device to improve connectivity
• Run evacuation siren tests
• View activity reports

All of these permissions can be edited at any time by logging into the web-based user portal. Users can be be set up as Managers (full permissions), Workers (evacuation messages and device status list), or customise as per your emergency plan requirements.

SMS Notifications

When a user is created, you can select to set them up as follows:

• Whether you want them to receive evacuation SMS messages
• Whether you want them to receive nurse call SMS messages
• Whether you want them to receive notification that the TCU or a single device has gone offline (either due to loss of power or loss of connectivity)

You can edit a user's SMS notification settings at any time by logging into the web-based user portal. 

By using both the smartphone app AND SMS notifications, you can ensure nothing slips through the gaps and you and your OHS/EHS team have full visibility to the status of your system.
